Manoluck Hotel, on a wide avenue slightly out of the town centre, has a fine open view to the surrounding hills. A large atrium courtyard provides a light yet shaded seating spot, and Baci ceremonies can be staged on the extensive covered first floor verandah. The building is finished in wood throughout, with Lao artwork and weaving on display.
The carved wooden furniture from Sayabouri province continues the Lao theme. The Manoluck restaurant and bar caters to tour groups and individual visitors, who can choose from the a la Carte menu of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese and Continental food. Luang Prabang style dishes are a speciality. Guests can reach the central historic riverside area, temples and markets by the Hotel’s shuttle service. In the local neighbourhood it is around 10 minutes walk to the Southern Bus Station and to the ancient That Luang stupa.
