On this one week trip, you will embark on long treks everyday deep into the mountains, through stunning and lush valleys. Trekking through tranquil forests you enjoy good trails and stop at the many minority hilltribe villages dotted throughout the region. From the traditional houses of the Black H'mong to the colourful ethnic head-dress of the Red Dzao, our journey allows us to spend time amongst the hilltribes to experience village life and learn about their unique cultures. Total trekking distance: 110km.

Day 1:  Hanoi – Lao Cai

You will take an overnight express train (soft sleeper berth) from Hanoi to Lao Cai province (370km).

Day 2:  Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai San – TaVan (B/L/D)

You will be picked up and transferred by private car to Sapa town. After breakfast, we take a short drive to Cat Cat valley, meeting H’mong minorities. We will stop by a waterfall before trekking along a dirt trail through terraced rice paddies. You will enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. The area is still covered by rain forest under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. After two-hour trek, we arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black H'mong minority, where you can take a rest in a nice spot near the beautiful river for lunch.
In the after noon, we continue walking for one hour to Lao Chai San village, also home to Black H’mong. Another one hour trek will take us to Ta Van village, inhabited by Dzay minority. Tonight we will have dinner and overnight in Dzay's hut.

Day 3: Ta Van – Seo My Ti (B/L/D)

Today we take a long trek at 10.00am from Ta Van to Seo My Ti, home to Black H’mong hill tribe.  A picnic lunch is served en route. On arrival in Seo My Ti at 3.30pm, we go camping and overnight there.

Day 4: Seo My Ti - Ta Trung Ho (B/L/D)

Leave Seo My Ti at 8.00am, we start a long and hard trek to Ta Trung Ho of Red Dzao minority. When arrive Ta Trung Ho about 4.00pm, we go camping and overnight there. Picnic lunch and dinner are included.

Day 5: Ta Trung Ho – Ban Ho (B/L/D)

Today we visit another village of Red Dzao minority group at Ban Ho, about 15km from Ta Trung Ho. A pinic lunch is served along the way. Have dinner and overnight in Red Dzao house at Ban Ho.

Day 6: Ban Ho – Nam Toong - Nam Ken – My Son - Thanh Phu (B/L/D)

Start our day with a one hour trek to Nam Tong village, inhabited by Red Dzao minority. We also visit Red Dzao group at Nam Ken village, one hour trek from Nam Tong village. Have a picnic lunch near a stream.
Afternoon we continue trekking to My Son village, home to Xa Pho minority. Our last stop today is Thanh Phu village of Tay minority group. Have dinner and overnight in a local house.

Day 7: Thanh Phu – Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B/L/D)

Morning we leave Thanh Phu village to Ban Ho, where we spend time relaxing on the bank of the local river. Continue trekking up to Ban Den village. A picnic lunch is served there before we transfer back to Sapa by car. Arrive in Sapa at 3.00pm and have a short break before transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station. You will have dinner at Lao Cai then take overnight train to Hanoi.

Day 8: Arrive Hanoi

The train will arrive in Hanoi in early morning. The trip concludes.
